Boundary Waters Immersion

What This Is

Do you feel called to something deeper than doomscrolling? Want to learn some real outdoor skills? And connect with people in a deeper level?

Then the Boundary Waters Immersion is right for you.

The Boundary Waters are one of our country’s most cherished wilderness areas. The waters call us to return to something ancient in us.

Turn off your phone, forget your emails. Come spend five nights of deep immersion in the breathtaking wilderness as we canoe through glassy lakes, camp under starry skies, eat from the land, and foster deep connections.

If you feel called to connect deeper with nature, want to learn how to start a fire, fish and forage your own food, or just see parts of the world that are still wild and untamed, then this immersion is for you.

People of all experience levels, types, and genders are welcome.

❋ Learn the Land

Wind, water, tracks, weather—Each day sharpens your awareness and deepens your understanding.

The landscape becomes something you can listen to and move through with intention.

❋ Connect Deeply with Nature

You will remember how to be in relationship with the natural world. Your senses will come back online, the noise will fade, and you will know that you belong in the natural world.

❋ Sharpen Survival Skills

You will learn the basics of fishing, camping, fire starting, plant ID, and tracking methods.

❋ Build Community

Through fire, story, and group fieldwork we will weave community. By the end, it will feel like you were a part of something real.

Reconnect with your body and mind as you escape the noise of everyday life.
What to Expect
  • We will all meet together in Ely, Minnesota the day before we set off into the BWCA to go over logistics, make sure everyone has what they need, and for a brief presentation on the history of BWCA.

  • As a group we will put our canoes in the water for the first time and set off for our adventure together.

  • We will be deeply immersed in one of the most pristine wilderness areas in North America.

  • After we all exit the wilderness together, we will part ways back where we began in Ely, Minnesota
