To hunt is to not only be connected to the food we eat but it is to become an embodied participant in the life cycle and immerse ourselves in an ecosystem.  Nothing else puts us in contact with nature, our own primal essence, and the wild as much as hunting. Nothing.

The black bear is one of the most sacred animals in North America. Some tribes revered them for their ability to heal, move between realms, and their embodiment of both masculine and feminine divine energies.  During our Primal Hunt Academy,  you will be paired with one of our guides as we spot and stalk black bear in the Eastern Sierra and learn all the intricacies of hunting one of America's most elusive game animals.

❋ Ceremonial

We blend ceremonial practices like sweat lodge with tracking, hunting, and masculine embodiment practices.

Beyond developing a sense of purpose and learning new skills, you will form deep bonds with men who will be become brothers. You will be immersed in a supportive and encouraging community.

❋ Wilderness Skills

You will gain skills like the fundamentals of wildllife tracking, reading the wind and landscape, and ethical and effective hunting tactics including the processing of bear.

Your relationship with leadership, life, and death will be rewired — through the lens of bear hunting.
